Summary
The CX team was assigned the task of designing a system where the user could track the live location of the train and stay updated on any disruptions or delays. Our goal was to redesign the Train status page with additional components to allow users track their train using train number and view any updates posted VIA Twitter in case there’s any delay or cancelation.
Upon the release of the Train Status, it was a massive success. Data and analytics showed that within first week, there was significant increase in user interaction with the Train Status page in Dotcom. The project was such a success that the stakeholders and product owners decided to implement the Train Tracker component within Amtrak Mobile app which lead toincreasing the rating of the app by 12%
